6 scholars of our Institute were selected as "Highly Cited Scholars in China" by Elsevier 2022

Elsevier, the world's leading information analysis company, has officially released the 2022 "Annual List of Highly Cited Scholars in China". Six scholars from our institute, including Jiang Xingliang, Liao Ruijin, Li Hui, Li Jian, Li Wenyuan and Zeng Zheng, were selected.

In 2022, Elsevier's "China Most Cited Scholars" list uses Scopus, a globally authoritative citation and index database, as the statistical source of Chinese scholars' scientific research achievements, and adopts the method developed by Shanghai Soft Science Education Information Consulting Co., LTD., with a total of 5,216 people from 504 universities, enterprises and scientific research institutions, covering 84 first-level disciplines in 10 subject areas of the Ministry of Education.

The further optimized and updated Elsevier Classification Map of first-level disciplines of the Ministry of Education (covering 111 disciplines) was used to extract the basic data of highly cited scholars. This article level mapping makes the data of discipline affiliation and discipline performance of Chinese scholars more intuitive to show the academic research ecology that is in line with the discipline setting of China, and has developed, scientifically and accurately described the scientific output of Chinese scholars, and provided effective help for further cleaning, analyzing and studying the citation performance of scholars.

The selection of 6 scholars in our institute shows the academic influence of our faculty, and also reflects the effectiveness of the "double first-class" construction of our Institute.
